A study, Evaluating the Creation of a Parallel Non-Oil Transportation System in an Oil Constrained Future conducted by Millennium Institute examining the effects of several oil versus non-oil transportation policy scenarios on GDP, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy availability was presented before the House Sub Committee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials of the U.S. Congress on Wednesday, January 28, 2009.
