Over 100 Civil Society Organizations Call for Clear Action to Address Agriculture and Food Security at Rio+20 Conference

Washington, DC November 11, 2011 - Millennium Institute, Biovision Foundation, and More and Better Network have submitted a statement signed by over 100 civil society organizations to the UNCSD calling for clear action to address agriculture and food security in countdown to Rio+20. The statement, among other things, calls for strengthening a global agricultural system that substantially diminish hunger and poverty, drastically reduces climate change and its impact, and restores biodiversity, soil fertility and water resources.
